The Degree course in Mechanical Engineering aims at providing students with the competences needed to face the i9ssues related with the study of operation, the design, production, maintenance and control of mechanical artifacts: machines and plants, The achievement of the educational objectives is obtained through a programme providing for the preliminary acquisition of core competences of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (42 credits), followed by in-depth studies in specific mechanical engineering scientific sectors (90 credits); a number of credits is also assigned to aerospace engineering subjects.

Self-employment (Registrar of Engineers – section B) The expected professional opportunities are: - mechanical and electro-mechanical industry; - companies and agencies for power conversion; - Manufacturing companies at large. - Design, installation, testing, maintenance and operation of machines and plants.

The final examination consists of the presentation and discussion of a degree dissertation, and is regulated in accordance with the decision of the Academic Senate of 6 November 2912 and of the regulations approved by the Board of the degree Course on 10/02/2013
