The educational objectives of the 2nd cycle degree in Computer engineering for intelligent systems aim at the engineering solution of problems which are typical of intelligent systems: - Advanced knowledge of theoretical-scientific aspects of engineering, with respect, in particular, to aspects related to computer engineering for intelligence systems, such as robotics, artificial intelligence, image elaboration and graphic computing; - Capability of interpreting and describing complex problems of computer engineering for intelligent systems requiring an interdisciplinary approach; - Capability of identifying, formulating and solving, in innovative ways too, complex problems, or problems requiring an interdisciplinary approach; - Capability of devising, planning, designing and managing complex and/or innovative information systems, processes and services.
The expected professional opportunities for 2nd cycle graduates in "Computer engineering for intelligent systems" are: - Innovation and development of production, advanced design, planning and programming, management of software systems based upon artificial intelligence, advanced graphic and multimedia systems, and robotics, both in production or service companies, and in the public administration; - 2nd cycle graduates in computer engineering may find professional opportunities in advanced computer companies operating in the fields of hardware and software production, in automation and robotics companies, in companies in the field of information systems and computer networks, service companies, as well as in the information services of public administrations.
The 2nd cycle degree course in Computer engineering for intelligent systems provides for a final examination consisting of a design activity ending with a dissertation demonstrating the mastery of subjects, the capability of working autonomously as well as good communication skills.
