The course aims at educating engineers with sound basic engineering groundings, upon which they may build, in accordance with the selected curriculum, specific management engineering or computer engineering skills. The course provides the competences needed to work effectively within public and private facilities and, thanks to the strong attention for core disciplines, it also provides adequate cultural groundings for autonomously acquiring and upgrading their competences for the changes of the labour market. The common programme provides basic knowledge and competences in: mathematical analysis, geometry, physics, computers, as well as specific subjects such as engineering economics, statistics, automatic control, quality management and product development.
With respect to specific competences, the ones provided within the curriculum in management engineering are: industrial plants and industrial production management and business economics, human resources management, law. For the computer-engineering curriculum, the course provides for the following specialist knowledge and competences:programming, design and management of databases, operating systems and computer networks.
