The course aims at educating experts in various professional areas, related to theatre, cinema and high technology (digital) multimedia performing arts, ensuring also the historical and critical knowledge of the types of performing arts The course provides advanced theoretical and practical competences with respect to the types and forms of live performances with high digital technology such as multimedia installations and technological theatre, as well as competences related to audiovisual, cinema, and multimedia online and off-line products. Particular attention is paid to the competences related to the management, conservation, use and spectacularisation of audiovisual and multimedia collections. The course aims at training high level professionals for the creation, management, criticism and education in all aspects of the above mentioned ambits, as well as scholars oriented toward pure and applied specialist research. The educational programme provides for historical, methodological and analytical, as well as technical, subjects.
Graduates of this course may find professional opportunities in: - Self-employment; - Public institutions requiring professionals in the fields of theatre, cinema, multimedia performing arts and of multimedia advertising; - Public companies in the fields of communication and performing arts; - Staff of highly qualified theatre institutions; - Staff of highly qualified cinema studios and audiovisual producers; - Staff of museums and multimedia archives.
A dissertation consisting of a written part and/or an online or offline multimedia product, with possible synergies with live performances. The final examination is awarded with 24 credits. This number of credits depends on the fact that the dissertation laboratory and experimental activities are closely linked with the laboratory activity of individual subjects.
