The cognitive, affective and behavioural traits involved in social processes and in the internal dynamics of social organisations are the focus of the 2nd cycle Degree Course in "Social, Occupational and Organisation Psychology". The educational programme covers the typical disciplinary ambits of General and Physiological Psychology, of Psychology of Development and Educational and of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology. Related and integrative educational activities are provided in the following areas: Labour Law, Psychometrics, Social Psychology, Occupational and Organisations, Dynamic Psychology, Business Economics and Management. Business Organisation, Social Statistics, General Sociology, Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes and Legal Sociology, Sociology of Deviance and Social Change. These subjects will be taught following a laboratory approach, providing students with the most up-to-date tools for interventions in social and organisation contexts. The course aims at educating graduates possessing the typical cognitive, methodological and operational tools of social, organisation and human resources psychologists. The course will in particular provide psychological knowledge and competences related to the cognitive, affective and behavioural traits involved social processes and in the internal dynamics of social organisations. Graduates will be capable of carrying out, with full professional autonomy psychosocial actions, aiming at the planning at management of the following activities: - Analysis of needs, diagnosis and definition of objectives; - Cultural mediation; - Human resources evaluation, individuals and groups assessment; - Career counselling and vocational guidance; - Training and career development; - Work-related disease(burnout, mobbing, job strain etc.); - Evaluation of organisational processes for a quantitative and qualitative point of view; - Evaluation of processes related to consumption and economic behaviours.
Experts and/or consultants for governmental and third sector agencies dealing with psychosocial issues; Experts and/or consultants for work organization, for the study of attitudes and7or processes underlying consumer behaviours; Research activities for institutions and organisations; Human resource manager (as a consultant for small and medium companies and as an employee in medium-big companies and in public organisations); Private practice or collaboration for consulting companies about school and professional guidance, personnel recruitment and selection, organisational interventions, outplacement, etc.; Professional activity of Psychotherapist (after postgraduate specialization provided by Ministerial regulations).
In accordance with the educational objectives of the Degree Course and with the expected learning outcomes, the final examination (12 credits) may consist of: - A research, survey or empirical survey in a company or in the region; - An experimental laboratory research work - A qualitative or quantitative review of the scientific literature with respect to a specific field. The final dissertation will be in any case written under the guidance of a supervising Professor, on paper or multimedia device presented to an examining Board appointed by the Board of the Degree Course and approved by the Dean of the Faculty as per the Course and Faculty educational regulations.
