The final examination consists of the preparation of a written report, with citations and references, and in its discussion before an examining Board. The dissertation, which might be of experimental nature, must be prepared under the guidance of a supervisor. The Board must also identify and assess the unique contribution of the candidate. The detailed criteria for the definition of the final mark, expressed out of one hundred and ten, with any praise, may be found in the educational regulations of the degree course. In any case, the evaluation should consider both the undergraduate curriculum of the candidate and the scientific level he/she reached.
