This 2nd cycle degree course entails activities aiming at deep specialist knowledge of motorial and sport subjects, as well as legal, economic and psycho-sociological subjects. In particular, graduates of this 2nd cycle degree course will acquire the necessary competences to work effectively within the legal and economic settings of the system of motorial and sport activities. For this purposes, the Degree course will enable graduates: - To know the basic rules of the sport system, given the complexity of its many aspects (institutional, regulatory, administrative). - To know issues relating to the interrelationship between state law and sports law in the light of the principle of autonomy of sport. - to know the economic principles and dynamics involved in the management of companies involved in various capacities in the field of sport. - To know national as well as federal regulations in force, for operating in the organization and management of bodies in the institutional sport system. - To know the regulations in force with respect to workplace safety, healthcare, anti-doping policies, investigations on the suitability for activities and sports, security and management of sports facilities, functional metabolic analysis of sports practitioners .
The expected professional opportunities for graduates are: - Design, organisation and management of various types of services and facilities for sports and motorial activities; - management and co-ordination within organizations in the field of sports and motorial activities; - Organisation and management of sports events; - Management, with a business-economic point of view, of organizations in the field of sports and motorial activities; - Activity as consultants, representatives and/or assistants before sport judicial branches, as well as in negotiation activity on behalf of subject working in the field of sports and motorial activities, as experts of tourism-sport services, management of sports facilities, media and communication, events and public performances, contracts and sport arbitral procedures.; - Design, coordination and management activities within companies supplying equipment, technology, goods and services for sport practice; - Design, coordination and management activities of various sport branches within associations and teams, organizations for sport promotion and sport organizations in general; - Development of institutional, economic and legal structures of communication and information in the field of motorial and sport activities.
The final examination consists of the preparation of a written paper, with citations and references, and in its discussion before a board. The dissertation, which might be experimental, must be prepared under the guidance of a supervisor. The Board should also identify and assess the candidate's original contribution. The details of the criteria for determining the final grade, expressed out of 110, with any praise, are described in the course regulations. In any case the assessment should consider both the curriculum of the candidate and the scientific level he/she has achieved.
